Our aim is to build a supportive community of leaders with lived and professional experiences.

 

Through our comprehensive 12-month programme, we equip these dedicated individuals with the skills they need, through nurturing their empathy and igniting their entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Together, we develop solutions to social issues impacting care experienced individuals.

Our Mission

To support 100 lived and professional experienced people to develop ideas, projects or businesses that solve social issues for care experienced people by 2025.

Lived Experience and Professional Leaders

We provide a community of lived and professional experienced leaders to come together, learn about leadership and solve social issues.

12 Module Learning Programme

Our 12 module learning programme gives fellows the skills to be entrepreneurial  and empathic leaders.

3 Leadership Retreats

We bring fellows together to engage in 3 leadership retreats designed to intensively challenge, support and develop them as leaders.

Coaching

This exclusive one-on-one coaching experience connects you with seasoned entrepreneurs, accomplished leaders, and industry experts who are eager to share their knowledge and insights.

Digital
Marketing Incubator

Our digital marketing incubator helps you develop digital engagement skills, essential to working with young people. You will have access to our digital marketing specialist who will work with you to support the development of your digital marketing.

Fundraising Support

Through our extensive network and partnerships, we'll facilitate opportunities for you to engage directly with potential donors, grant-making organisations, and impact investors.

Luke Rodgers, BEM

As a Lived Experience Leader, Luke has a passion for and expertise in creating projects that benefit the lives of care-experienced people, ensuring their experience is at the heart of all projects and training facilitated by The Care Leaders. As founder of The Care Leaders, Luke has led work in the USA, Europe, and nationally in the UK, working with leading organisations in the children’s sector.

Luke’s commitment to improving outcomes for young people and families was recognised through the award of the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

The Care Leaders Fellowship is for individuals who have lived and professional experience of children's social care, who have an idea that will solve social issues for care experienced people, and are working directly with care experienced people within a local authority.
